Stockholm City Museum

Welcome to the City Museum. We preserve the city’s cultural heritage, bring it to life and convey it to Stockholm residents, visitors and future generations.

The Museum is situated in a 17th century palace next to Slussen. We display exhibitions about the current and historical Stockholm and Stockholmers. There is always a translation in English.

Admission

Annual ticket: SEK 100.
Valid for 12 months at the City Museum and at the Museum of Medieval Stockholm

Free admission for visitors 19 years old or younger. Free admission with the Stockholm Card.

The City Museum closes for renovations

January 12, 2015 the City Museum closes for renovation, to reopen during spring 2017 with a new permanent exhibition focusing on stories of Stockholm. New exhibition spaces mean that many never-before-seen objects can be displayed. Stockholm’s history is an adventure, and you will get to experience it in a brand new way!
